Have you thought about going vegetarian? Do you care about what you eat and try to avoid meat?

If so, you must already know it’s beneficial to your health and happiness. Let’s see how exactly so you can be even more motivated to cut down your meat consumption.

1. Avoiding meat reduces inflammation

One of the reasons vegans are happier and healthier is that meat and other animal products aren’t encouraging inflammation in their body.

While that function is part of our organism’s healing process, when its levels are increased that leads to bad heart health, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease. The external signs might include swelling, redness and pain. But it’s also linked to cancer and other dangerous diseases, so you definitely don’t want to go down that path and eat inflammatory food.

One you go vegetarian, though, or at least reduce the amount of meat in your diet, you will begin focusing on fruits, veggies, seeds, and anything natural that our body craves.

Eating more plants is the basis of the anti-inflammatory diet and that can result in improved overall well-being, reducing the risk of strokes and diabetes, and fighting free radicals in the body that cause cell damage.

2. You’ll make the world a better place

Here’s an aspect of the life of vegetarians and vegans meat eaters don’t often talk about – they are making the world a better place by reducing the consumption of that food.

By eating less or no meat, you won’t support animal agriculture but will instead reduce greenhouse gases. That happens because when fewer animals are produced (to be slaughtered and eaten), that means less animal cruelty, water and air pollution, deforestation, and overuse of antibiotics.

Don’t trust the misconceptions that vegans are weaker than omnivores. With a well-balanced plant base diet you can even become a vegan bodybuilder! If you want to.

3. You’re choosing to be humane

Fewer animals will be killed per year because of your lifestyle choice too and that’s a reason to feel good about yourself. By being a vegetarian or vegan, you’re actually inspiring those around you to try this way of eating and living with your actions and you’re more likely to save even more animals per year due to this.

Not to mention that eating less meat contributes to decreasing world hunger as a huge amount of food feeds livestock instead of people.

4. You’ll make healthier food choices

When meat isn’t part of your menu anymore, you’ll be more likely to turn to other great sources of protein, which are also the only ones your body needs. That includes soy, seafood, beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, peas, and most veggies.

Vegetarians also tend to experiment with different combinations of food and create new recipes. That makes them enjoy their food more and make healthier choices.

5. You’ll feel fresh and be more positive

Studies have shown that even 2 weeks without meat can improve a person’s mood.

Plenty of people who went vegetarian share they immediately began feeling cleaner, their mind was healthier, they felt closer to earth, and could show more empathy to anyone else around them. Their consciousness changes too as they say ‘no’ to animal cruelty and live more humbly by choosing their diet to be mostly plant-based.

Animals that were killed in stress and misery have harmful hormones which can negatively influence your feminine balance or kill the manhood of your man. And by eating their meat, we eat that energy and it has the power to transform the chemistry of our body, to make us more impulsive and ruin our peace of mind.

That’s why stopping meat is a cleansing experience and one that can lead to spiritual awakening and enjoying life more.

6. Your cholesterol levels will drop

Another great benefit of choosing plants over meat is that you’ll reduce your cholesterol by 35%.

High cholesterol is linked to heart diseases and having a stroke. Usually, it’s a result of bad lifestyle choices. And by avoiding meat, you’re making sure it’s lower and your heart stays healthy.

7. You’ll have a healthy body

Due to the new way of eating you’ll be introduced to, you will also stay in shape. And by leaving that food group behind you, you’ll stay slim.

Meat is bad for our digestion. It stays in the body because our system is simply not built to process it. That causes constipation, bloating and abdominal pain.

Less is more and by reducing the amount of meat you eat and making healthier food choices such as a plant-based diet, you’ll have a healthy body and mind and thus increase your lifespan.

So that’s the role meat plays in your life and the points above showed you how you can transform your lifestyle and well-being by eating less or no meat.

The choice is up to you. What usually works best if to define your real reason for why you might want to try this and then decide to go for it for some time. If you feel better, you can go without meat for long. Chances are, you won’t miss it and won’t ever think of adding it to your menu again.

Once you experience all those benefits, there’s no turning back. However, you need to give it time so your body can adjust to the lack of meat after eating it your whole life.
