Ageing is a natural part of the human process and there’s no way to stop it, but that doesn’t mean that we have to let it show in our face, or let it stop us doing the things we’ve always loved. If we provide enough tender loving care and support for our skin and body, while time marches on we can remain youthful, and achieving this can be easier and more effective than you might think.

Here are three things you can do if you want to take on the ageing process and win, and you can start the battle today.

1. Hydrate your skin

The modern world we live in is harsh on our skin. The stresses and worries of everyday life, the harsh sun in summer and freezing temperatures in winter, not to mention increasing levels of pollution in our towns and cities, all have a detrimental effect on our skin. The damage caused by stress, weathering, and pollution can typically be seen in dry and prematurely wrinkled skin, and this can make a person feel much older than they actually are. One way to combat this is to keep your skin as hydrated as possible. Use organic moisturizers and face creams that don’t include harsh chemicals, and drink lots of water, a trick that Jennifer Aniston claimed was behind her glowing, ageless skin.

2. Get plenty of sleep

Contemporary living is very different from how we used to live, and one of the things most affected is our sleep patterns. Whereas we used to sleep for around eight hours a night, many of us now struggle to sleep at all or have disjointed sleep where we wake regularly. This can drain us of energy and may be behind many long-term illnesses and conditions that are associated with premature ageing. If you’re having trouble sleeping, talk to your physician, ensure that you have a comfortable bed and pillows, and avoid looking at your mobile phone before trying to sleep.

3. A modern solution

Don’t be afraid to get a little help in the battle to stay young; after all an increasing number of people are now utilizing the advantages that come from minimally invasive surgical procedures to their face and body.
